Our daily Travel Camp is for intermediate & advanced surfers and is designed to bring out the wave predator in our students. Travel campers join us in the luxury of our passenger vehicles as we sniff out the central coast for the best wave conditions that will push each camper’s surfing to the next level.
We will be studying advanced surfing techniques and working on movements from the fundamental bottom turn and cutback, to off the lips, tail slides, 360’s and aerials.
We provide video analysis and technique study which enables students to develop optimal skills on a step-by-step basis. We will also explore cross training techniques such as yoga, stretching, and plyometrics while providing first-hand insight on competitive strategies, wave selection, and much more.
Also included are special guest speakers and visits from professional surfers!

We are excited to introduce campers to the spirit of aloha, and the “choose Your own adventure” lifestyle which embodies the sport of surfing, Santa Barbara style!
Our beginner & intermediate day camps are held at Santa Claus Lane. Campers start each morning with a hearty welcome from our instructors and are quickly engaged into an exuberant game of beach dodge ball with the entire group.
Afterwards, it’s on to the warm-up period, where campers first learn surf skills on land, as well as running, stretching, practicing pop-ups and other surf-specific muscle-enhancing exercises. By mid-morning it’s time for some ocean fun and the morning surf session.
After lunch, it’s ocean knowledge and more technique training then time to hit the waves again for an afternoon surf session. Our experienced instructors thoroughly enjoy the safe environment at Santa Claus Lane, a terrific site with great summer waves and a sandy bottom.
At all times, campers are monitored closely by our staff, all of whom are lifeguard, CPR and first-aid certified.
