goes down must come up and lightning never strikes
twice? Half true for the Rincon Classic in its glorious
second year of homecoming.
Nearly a month of flatness
expired to a high-voltage westerly pulse the weekend
of the storied pointbreak event, reprising last year’s
rags-to-riches swell prediction and arriving a day
early to ensure electricity in the water.
"It turned out
to be such an insane contest, just like last year’s,"
grinned Josh Bradbury, victor in both the men’s
and pro divisions.
